Hello, my name is Adelyn. I’m an artist who loves to use both traditional and digital mediums to create illustrations and comics inspired by various muses. My most recent art project, the Hummingfly Garden Series, is a collection of 10 illustrations drawn with alcohol-based markers. This project started when I was captivated by the beauty of hummingbirds and butterflies during a creature design class I was taking at the time. Inspired by the theme of blending animals together, I decided to create a hummingbird-butterfly hybrid called the “hummingfly”. Left with a standalone creature design, I put it to good use by creating an art piece featuring the hummingfly. I had so much fun making the 1st hummingfly illustration that I decided to make a series of 10. Now that all 10 are complete, I feel some sense of creative satisfaction, but I still itch to make more. In the meantime, I am pivoting my focus to a comic project, but will still squeeze in time to make hummingfly illustrations at a slower rate. Stay tuned for more updates!
